About

This system was created by the Fergana Regional Beekeepers Union with support from FAO under the project “Support for the sustainable development of beekeeping”.

The union

The Fergana Regional Beekeepers Union is a non-governmental, non-profit organization and a full member of the Association of Beekeepers of Uzbekistan. Membership dues are our only source of funding.

Our purpose

Developing beekeeping in Fergana Region, supporting union members, and ensuring quality bee products.

Membership

To join, visit the union office with your passport and two 3×4 photos. Members receive a membership card, a veterinary-sanitary apiary passport, and are registered in this system automatically. Active members can obtain certificates, movement permits, and a product trust mark.

What the system does

A spatial information system that helps beekeepers stay informed about:

The Arizor map: apiary pins across the Fergana valley with their coverage circles
The map of apiaries: each pin is shown with its coverage radius.

Register of beekeepers and bee products

Map of apiaries

the location of stationary and migratory apiaries (including booking) in Fergana Region, and a register of beekeepers;

  • Every apiary is pinned with its coordinates and coverage radius
  • Honey plants and field plots sit on their own layer
  • Check the distance to neighbouring apiaries before you move
Open the map
A pesticide spraying zone on the map overlapping the coverage of nearby apiaries
When a spraying zone overlaps an apiary's coverage, the beekeeper is alerted.

Alerts about possible bee poisoning

Pesticide spraying alerts

pesticide use on crops, with timely alerts sent to beekeepers through the mobile app;

  • The treated area is drawn on the map as a red circle
  • Beekeepers whose radius overlaps the zone are notified
  • The date and method of spraying are announced in advance
